## Who we are

Merkbaar™ (trade name of Merkbaar™ Creatieve Reclamemakers) is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy notice. We are based at Vlijtseweg 112, 7317 AG Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 08139248. ## This website: no cookies, no trackers

This website does not place cookies on visitors' devices and does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or other services that track you. Fonts, images and videos are hosted on our own server. Your browser therefore does not connect to other parties, unless you click a link to, for example, LinkedIn or Instagram yourself. That is why we do not ask for consent with a cookie banner.

We do not store anything else in your browser either, such as local storage. If you still have Google Analytics cookies from our previous website, we let them expire on your next visit.

## Visitor statistics

To see which pages are read, we keep simple statistics on our own server. We recognise a visit by a code calculated from your IP address, your browser and a secret value that is replaced every day. We do not store your IP address itself, and after midnight the same visitor can no longer be recognised.

For each page view we store: the page, the website you came from, the type of device, the browser and operating system, the language and country (derived from your language setting), the screen width, how long you were on the page, how far you scrolled and which link you clicked. This data cannot be traced back to you as a person. We keep it for a maximum of 25 months and share it with no one.

## If you contact us

If you email or call us, we use your name, contact details and what you tell us to answer your question and to prepare any collaboration. There is no form on the website.

## If you are a client

To carry out an assignment, we process the data needed for it, such as name, company name, address, phone number, email address, Chamber of Commerce number, VAT number and bank account number. We use this for the agreement, invoicing, keeping in touch and to meet legal obligations, such as the statutory tax retention requirement.

## Retention periods

We do not keep personal data longer than necessary. Administrative and tax records are kept for seven years, as required by law. Visitor statistics are kept for a maximum of 25 months.

## Sharing with others

We do not sell data. We only share it when necessary for an assignment or when required by law. With parties that process data on our behalf, we conclude a data processing agreement. These include TransIP (hosting of this website, in the Netherlands), Moneybird (accounting), Mailchimp (newsletter), Drukwerkdeal (printing) and Timmer-Aalten Accountant en Adviseur.

## Automated decision-making

We do not take decisions based on automated processing that have consequences for you.

## Children

This website and our services are not intended for children under the age of 16. If you think we hold data about a minor without consent, please email [hallo@merkbaar.nl](mailto:hallo@merkbaar.nl) and we will delete it.

## Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data, withdraw your consent, object to the processing and have your data transferred. Send your request to [hallo@merkbaar.nl](mailto:hallo@merkbaar.nl). We respond within four weeks. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the [Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)](https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/).

## Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss and unauthorised access. The website only works over a secure connection (https), and the admin area is protected with personal accounts.
